MyMP3Apps Home

MyMP3Apps is an application framework which includes applications for working with MySQL and MP3 files with PERL. So far, an import application which includes a sorter has been written. I hope to get contributions of other applications from other users and developers in the near future, and will post them here as I receive them.

I created this application because I had several gigabytes of MP3s which I had ripped from my cds, and wanted a way to efficiently catalog them into the database for future use and for creating playlists using SQL commands, with which I am familiar. Once I finished writing it, I thought that others on the internet could benefit from it and decided to release what I had done under the GPL.

This package has only been tested on Linux. It requires PERL 5 or higher, a MySQL database, the PERL DBI interface and the MP3::Info PERL module.
